--- The size of the posters used for the poster session of 2012 ICO
The maximum size of a poster is 90cm wide and 130cm height.
NB: The printing style is portrait, not landscape.

Ordering of T-shirts, Dinner, Mid-congres tour, Post-congres tour was closed on July 11.
The registration to the congress, however, continues till July 28.

--- Final call for abstract submission
There still remains a room for oral/poster presentations in the congress program. If you have any research result that you want to present at the congress please submit your abstract no later than June 16 via Abstract submission form:

What's New #16. June 8, 2012.
--- Strict time of the deadlines
The deadline dates for 'Discounted (early) registration' and 'Abstract submission' should also be applied for those who live in the Hawaii or the Aleutian islands. So we will close the discounted (early) registration form and abstract submission form at 12:00 GMT of June 11.

--- Deadline for bank transfer
If you submit your registration form and choose bank transfer for the payment instead of credit card, you need to send money within five days after the submision of your registration form.

What's New #14. May 17, 2012.
--- Double presentations are acceptable
The web-registration system is made up to accept only one presentation, however you can make two different presentations in the congress. Please submit the title of your second talk (or poster), name of presenter, author(s) and affiliation(s), and abstract by e-mail addressed to

mnais.costalis[at]gmail.com ([at]=@).

Deadline of the submission is the same as the web-registration. Please do not forget to make web-registration and payment before your submission of the second presentation.

--- Establishment of "one-day participation fee"
One-day participation fee <<< click here.
For those who cannot participate fully in six-day congress schedule but want to participate for 1-3 days, we will set the "one-day participation fee."For the dates July 28-30 and August 1-2, you can participate in the congress hall if you pay 3,000 yen per day at the reception counter of the venue (the museum).
Participation using "one-day participation fee" need not to be officially registered on the registration form of the congress website prior to visiting the venue.
One-day participants will not be allowed to make research presentation in the congress. Those who want to presented a research should fully register to the congress using the registration form of the congress website. Mid-congress trip as well as congress dinner require payments of separate fees and need web-registration.

In order to enable for more odonatologists from more countries/regions to participate in the 2012 I.C.O., the Organizing Committee has decided to postpone the deadline of the regular (early) registration from April 30th to June 10th, 2012.You can enjoy discounted registration fees if you apply for it till June 10 th, 2012. The deadline of the abstract submission has also been postponed from April 30th to June 10th, 2012.

As a side event of 2012 ICO, the Special Exhibition "The World of a dragonfly" will be held at the Congress venue from July 14, - November 4, 2012. The charm of and the world of dragonflies are introduced by exhibiting abundant specimens, mainly of the museum's worldwide collection of the Odonata, together with beautiful photographs caught in the natural world.

You can register using our web form. You can pay your registration fee by credit cards (VISA or Master) or the bank transfer. Deadline of the regular registration will be April 30th but we will keep the registration system open until July 28th. The registration fees till April 30th will apply discount rates.
This year abstract can be submitted separately. Abstracts of both oral and poster presentations should be submitted through above registration system from which you can download the template WORD file for abstract. The deadline of the abstract submission is also April 30th. You can either register or submit abstract in the first place. However, you need to register until April 30 , 2012 to make your presentation.
